Munich

After preparing the Bremen series, three weights of cap and small cap combinations, Richard Lipton found himself fascinated by the richness of the implications in Ludwig Holwein’s [sic] original letterforms, themselves among the most vital of 1922 designs. He impulsively varied their shapes to produce this alternative series. The most successful, rather more angular in form, became Munich, another three-weight small-cap series.
