Richard Lipton’s Riquet is a display slab serif design. Wide, round, and quirky, it was inspired by the typographic letterforms from the nineteen-twenties and early thirties flourishing in Europe, where poster design set a high creative standard. Richard expanded a handful of freehand capital and lowercase letters on posters designed by artist Ludwig Hohlwein. Riquet is a delightfully casual typeface with 6 weights and the perfect selection of alternates. All of these give an expressive look of precisely inked letters that are perfect for any packaging or branding project.
